Welcome Home Chubbs! ***
After four harrowing days thinking about the fate of my first baby cat Chubbs, I can finally let out a thankful sigh of relief! Chubbs was discharged from the hospital late yesterday evening. The bill came up to a whopping RM515 for all the tests and his hospitalization needs, which we gladly paid to Dr. Chan. That is really such a small price to pay to have our beloved cat coming home to us and his brother and sister!
I am so thankful the treatment and the nourishing and all the love and visits B and I gave to Chubbs worked. He still refused to eat while at the doctor's but we think that's simply because he was missing us too much. The moment we brought him home and fed him a special treat, Chubbs happily nibbled away. He didn't eat much, but at least he's starting to eat again, which is good news.

B and I gave him a nice warm refreshing bath last night. It took hours to get him dry and smelling fresh. I think this also explained me being extra tired and missing the Music Monday chops last night. Right after, I fell asleep but not before making sure Chubbs was all warm and comfy. He's been sleeping and not much of running or walking, but I'm okay with that. So long as he's back home and recovering with his Master and family, I think and I hope Chubbs will be fine.

I have to continue his medication for the rest of the week and the vet will determine if he needs to be hospitalized again afterwards. But for now, all he needs is a lot of tender loving care, which we have been lavishing upon him ever since he got home. Benji and Phoebe are a little jealous of all the attention Chubbs is getting but I'm sure they understand. Our main concern right now is to make sure he gets back on his feet, healthy and active again.
Before I sign off, I really need to say a big THANK YOU to everyone who dropped by Meow Diaries with many words of comfort and inspiration for us during our trying moment with Chubbs. Thanks to your loving spirit and the hope you held out for my baby cat, we are reunited as one big happy cat family. MEOW!
