Busy Buying Music

Searching for the right song to feature on Music Monday here at my blog can be a daunting task sometimes. Yes there are so many songs to choose from but for me, I gotta choose one that speaks to my heart. They don’t necessarily have to be songs from top music charts but they at least have to call out to my music sense the moment I first listen to it. I guess I’m fussy that way but that’s just the perfectionist in me, always trying to pick the best of the best or one that is almost perfect … by my standards at least.

If you noticed, I tend to feature a lot of R&B, alternative music as well as songs from the 80s and the 90s. Those by far are my favourite music genres. I am a total 80s wild child so sue me and though I receive comments on my MM posts that always seem to state the obvious (
my song picks are always usually old songs); you definitely can’t deny the fact that an oldie can be goodie too. I especially love the 80s and if you have awesome music taste like me (yup blowing my own trumpet here), then you’d be in total agreement with yours truly! Smiley

Anyway, I recently chanced upon a new music download site, which I am dying to check out because I am in the mood to buy music. Though I already have a lot of songs in my collection, there are still a few missing. For example one of my all-time favourite songs Second Chance by Gabrielle, which is also unavailable on You Tube. Every time I search for this song on YT, it says that the music video/song is unavailable in my country due to copyright reason or something like that.

I don’t mind spending on songs that I really want to have in my collection and if I sign up with this new site, I’ll get cheaper rates. I’ve already done my survey and the song that I am looking for is going for
only $0.15, which is mighty cheap if you ask me! You can also download full albums at very low prices so if you’re a music lover searching for some long lost songs like me, you may want to check out the site as well.

It’s almost Wednesday so there is still time for me to join Music Monday – if I can find a great song to my liking that is! See you later!

Guide to a Cat Friendly Home

As an integral part of your family, you want to have your home as safe, secure and stimulating for your pet cat or cats. The distinctive character and nature of cats make them incredibly popular pets. However, they do require their living environments to be carefully considered to ensure a good quality of life and they remain out of harm’s way.

Installing cat flaps for walls and doors enables cats to venture outside for exercise. However, many cat owners dislike letting their cats outside for substantial periods of time. If cats are going to be kept indoors certain facilities must be present in their living environment to enrich their day to day existence.

If cats cannot live out their predatory instincts and get enough physical exercise they can become anti-social, overweight and unhappy. A wide range of cat illnesses and disorders result from having an indoor life without sufficient exercise that results in obesity.

While cat flaps have long been the usual way for cats to have their own personal passage outdoors and indoors, they can cause a territorial problem for domineering cats, which view them as a breach in the safety of their home, a way in for others which must be guarded and fretted about. Many owners now prefer to let their cats out briefly through a door or window and remove the cat flap.

How can you offer sufficient stimulation to your cats within an indoor environment? There are a number of tried and tested ways to stimulate cats, but each owner must try them on their own cats to see which are liked and which are disliked.

Cats should never be overfed, no matter how loud they meow. Obesity can be very damaging. Cats are born hunters, so instead of just placing down the food bowl play a game in which you throw food pellets for the cat to chase and consume. Water should be kept away from food bowls as cats are deterred from drinking after feeding. Place one bowl per cat in a different location for them to seek out.

To keep your cats active ensure there are some high napping places in the house which require them to jump and climb and take time out to play with them with a toy mouse on a string or other toy that gets their pulse racing and engages their predatory instincts. It’s a good idea to have scratching posts installed as they allow cats to mark their territory without damaging your furniture.

Safety is another important consideration to make at all times. Are your house and garden plants poisonous to cats? Do you have household items in the home or garage that could poison your cat? Always be careful when using kitchen appliances and cleaning products as they can pose a potential risk. It pays to take a look around in your home to gauge how safe it really is for cats.

Maintaining a good level of safety in the home, a strict feeding routine and providing enough stimulating exercise will keep your cats healthy and happy within your home.

Pablo Loves Me! *

I am no longer jealous of B and Benji being best buds at home because now I too have a baby meow who loves snuggling up to me!
Smiley

Pablo my new baby cat addition to Meow Diaries is truly so affectionate and playful and all he really wants to do whenever he sees me is climb on top of me, lick my face all over, bite my chin and kiss my cheeks! I love it although this is really not good for my sinus problem; having cat fur directly in my face. However, since Pablo is so adorable and tiny, I can’t bring myself to push him away. End result? I have been getting sinus attacks every other day! Smiley

Maybe when he grows bigger I will be stricter with Pablo and won’t let him flaunt his fur all over my face but for now he is still a tiny baby boy and I will continue enjoying him making a fluffy furry mess on top of me and my face. Achoo!! Smiley

New Kitty Hammock! *

B
brought home a kitty hammock for the fur-kids last night and it's the cutest little hammock I've ever seen! peluk

Soft and Fluffy

The white kitty hammock is soft and fluffy and comfy too, I gotta say. According to our pet store lady, they're selling like hot cakes so of course we had to buy one! Anyway, all the kids were curious to try out their new furniture but the only one who's really enjoying it is baby Pablo. Doesn't he look adorable?
