Are We Really Safe?
I received a frantic call from my friend late last night. Apparently her town-house was broken into while she was away on vacation. The burglars made off with several valuable items and we both thanked her lucky stars that nobody was around when it happened. I spent almost an hour consoling her; figuring out the best next move for her. She's so shaken up by the whole incident and is even contemplating moving into a new home!
The thing is, one can never be too careful and no matter how secure you try to make your home, the relentless burglar manages to squeeze his way through. Such as in my friend's case whose beautiful home is equipped with the latest home security system. In fact, she recently installed a new alarm system in her home and yet it did not manage to ward off the unscrupulous burglars from breaking into her home and stealing whatever they could get their grubby hands on. Naturally I'm furious for her too and did my best to pacify her.
I claim no comprehension to why people burgle or rob others. It's despicable and the damage is more than meets the eye. Things that were stolen can be replaced but the reality of the crime and the trauma it leads to will forever haunt the victim, like my poor buddy. I do hope she'll get through this fine and I will recommend the best home security comparison sites for her to learn about home security and the different options available. I know she no longer feels safe in her own home and if information on the best state-of-the art security system is what she seeks in order to feel at home again, that is exactly what I'll do to help her.

Oh i'm so glad that no one was around when that happened. That's so terrifying.. and really traumatising. When I was like 9 yrs old, our house was broken into and they stole my mother's jewelery.. WHILE MY PARENTS WERE SLEEPING!!! Thank God that no one got hurt.
Somehow they managed to scale the wall and into my parents' bedroom window.. there were footprints on the wall outside! SCary tak scary???
It must be so frustrating for your friend to have an alarm system at home and still her house was broken into. After all, home security systems aren't cheap..
So sorry to hear that about your friend.. I hope she'll be fine. Burglars and robbers are despicable indeed.. That's one thing that terrifies me most.. especially with J working on shifts. That's why he prefers to stay in a condo unit rather than a house..

Scary gils Shemah, got footprints some more! U mean ur parents were inside the room sleeping and they stole the jewellery in that room? Astaga! Lucky lucky indeed… We had that happened once too, front door was wide open when we woke up, dat time staying in JB govt quarters so u know how huge scary the area… in front of hutan huhuhuu, lucky nobody was hurt too! :(
Very frustrating, must find better ones kalau ada..but u can never really know I guess. Kalau nak jadi, sure jadi.. :(

Actually same here Shemah…I feel a little safer in condo compared to landed homes…cause landed homes sure dua tingkat and so many rooms and doors and windows to handle n secure when home alone.. scary la!

Yeahh!! the footprints looked so freaky.. like orang jalan on the wall, like
that!! And yeah, my parents were sleeping.. and they ransack the dressing
table! Macam kena sleeping potion.. sbb my mom is a really light sleeper..
if i think about it, memang scary gils. So now, my mom's place got CCTV and
alarm system also.

yeahh.. relaxing weekend indeed.. this afternoon just laze on the couch with
the children watching Up and Ice Age 3... then after that mommy and daddy's

Ohhhh J and S snuggle wuggle today hohoho! Yeah lor, I slept whole afternoon, raining dat time…then woke up late. But B woke up ahead of me and he bought dinner and everything edi he he! After dis going to watch DVD… :)

my brother once saved our neighbors, they live beside us and bro heard some noises there. He accesses the service area at the back and climbed to their firewall then later to find out they were tied up and good thing my god-sister's wasn't harmed or molested by the robbers. Home security is very important.
